Seventeenth-century palace at the top of a hill, not far from the village of Torreano.
It is in the North-Eastern part of Italy, in the region of Friuli near to the famous Cividale (Forum Julii - UNESCO Heritage-), at 140 km from Venice, 40 km from Trieste and Udine 18.
The main structure is made from the tower and the Villa on two floors plus attic. Inside of the hall way and through the various side rooms, there are splendid eighteenth-century paintings and floral bands. The tower, with a square base has a typical single-light openings windows, and at the end a nice three-light window.
The castle has its origins in the sixteenth century for the tower and in 1587 for the Villa. It was built by Pietro Della Torre. The Villa had also other owners in the nineteenth century till the current one, who has always kept it in excellent condition.
It is a really charming place with a beautiful garden, a lovely sight on the eastern friulan hills. Moreover there is a big annexe, very well restored and with indipendent apartments inside.
